The Ahmadiyya mosque we were opposing is in Walsal, not Birmingham.
Also, this is the first time that (Sunni!) Muslims have been against the building of a mosque. But that's because it is an Ahmadiyya mosque. So I informed EDL leadership not to see this as Muslim compromise. It is, rather, Sunni Muslims hating Ahmadiyya Muslims. Nothing more. What happened in Lahore showed what sort of thing will happen if (Sunni?) Muslims have to much autonomy.
I don't see any difference between EDL and the ideology of those who opposed the Walsal mosque. There will always be a section of muslims who would like to react to EDL with the same vigour (or violence). To avoid this, EDL has to stop their hate campaigns.
